Gift Books are the Best Books! Star Trek Cats!

My life is outrageously full of cats. Indeed, it would be easy to find people among my family, friends, and acquaintances who would criticize such a number of cats. We never intended that our furry family should grow so large, but now that our clowder is assembled, we find it a daily blessing. There's something comforting in the myriad of personalities that greet us as we move about household chores - Samantha's sassiness, Pig's stolid goodwill - and I'm always eager to see the troops assembled at day's end.

Because we have so many cats (and because my sister has one very big cat) we've gotten into the habit of exchanging funny cat books. I got my brother-in-law a book about exercising with cats, for instance, and Star Trek Cats showed up - to the delight of all - in my mailbox!

I've detailed in another post how Star Trek became such a part of our lives - so adding cats can only be an improvement - Just ask Spock!

If you're not yet convinced, I offer the following testimonials:

Tiberius Wookie-Paws (Tibbie) found the drawings very true to life.

Tucky and Razzle kept their eyes open for 3/4 of the pages.

Beautiful Samantha thought it needed more girl cats, but that may be a critique of the original series.

Pig (Bialystok) thought that all the breeds were well chosen, but that none were as silky as him. He's probably telling the truth.

Beeble (Corbie) was evidently not a fan - but 5/6 cats is a better rating than I get on most cat food purchases, so it's not too shabby!
